Free Consultation We offer a complimentary consultation visit and have set aside a variety of times throughout the day for our new patients exams. The visit requires approximately one hour. To schedule you have the option to phone or email us to set up an appointment. At this visit, Dr. Carr will perform a detailed and personal chairside examination of your teeth, gum tissue and jaw relationship. We will also want to know what your concern are regarding your features. If you could, what would you change to improve the function, health or esthetics of your smile? Digital photos will be taken of your teeth, face and smile. The photos will be downloaded and printed for you to view. The photos will allow us to communicate the treatment Dr. Carr has envisioned at the chairside examination.

What's Next If Dr. Carr feels that treatment is indicated at this time and you elect to proceed, the next step will be to obtain the necessary diagnostic records. The orthodontic records are required to determine the best treatment for your particular situation. Records consist of study models (molds of your teeth) and two types of X-Rays (one of your teeth and one revealing your jaw relationship and related growth pattern). If you have elected to proceed and an appointment has been set for the placement of the braces, separators will be inserted to create sufficient space for the orthodontic bands and eliminate the need for another trip to see us prior to getting your braces on.

When Can I Get Braces? Braces will be placed within a few weeks following the records appointment. Approximately two hours will be scheduled, depending on the appliance and braces being placed. Dr. Carr will begin the appointment by reviewing the X-rays and study models as well as explain your personal treatment plan. At this time, he will answer any questions or concerns you may have prior to placement of the braces.
